Colorado residents now pay more for Nebraska lake use

Nonresident visitors to Lake McConaughy, Lake Ogallala and Enders Reservoir will be affected by new fees for Nebraska state park area usage this year.
The major changes for travelers are:
Park permits — Nebraska’s state parks have been treasured destinations for nearly 100 years. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has adjusted park entry permit fees in order to reinvest proceeds into the statewide inventory of park assets and keep each park vibrant, accessible, fun and safe for all.
A park entry permit is required of each vehicle entering a Nebraska state park, state recreation area or state historical park. Beginning in 2017, there is a separate entry permit for vehicles licensed outside of Nebraska. The fees for these permits are: annual, $45; duplicate annual, $22.50; and daily, $8.
Fish permits — Anglers will notice an increase in nonresident fish permit fees in 2017. The new fees are: annual, $76; one-day, $13; and three-day, $37.
