PC Telcom hosting annual meeting Thursday

PC Telcom’s annual meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 13, in Holyoke High School’s old gym, with the meal at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m.

 

Phillips County Players to vote on new bylaws

The Phillips County Players board of directors will be voting on whether to adopt new bylaws on Thursday, April 27, at 5:30 p.m. in the Holyoke Methodist church basement. The proposed bylaws can be viewed at shorturl.at/cIJZ2.

Tornado siren testing is Monday

Emergency sirens will be tested Monday, April 17, in Holyoke at approximately 10 a.m., in Paoli at 10:15 a.m. and Haxtun at 10:30 a.m. If the siren testing cannot be completed due to inclement weather, it will be done Monday, April 24, instead.

Also on April 17, Phillips County will be testing its emergency alert system from 6:30-7 a.m. for the Paoli and Amherst communities, along with Holyoke and Haxtun. A countywide alert will also be tested at 6:30 p.m.

 

Entrepreneurship competition held this month

The Northeast Colorado Demystifying Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition is an opportunity for businesses and entrepreneurs in northeast Colorado to showcase their products or services and prove why they’re deserving of the $20,000 prize pool. Applications for the “Shark Tank” style event are open until April 30 at bit.ly/necopitch. Finalists will be selected by a panel of judges and will be invited to pitch at the live event on June 15 in Sterling.
