2-part class offered for Alzheimer’s caregivers

The Alzheimer’s Association of Northeast Colorado will be holding a two-part class for Alzheimer’s caregivers, both family and professional caregivers, at the Haxtun Community Center. Part 1 will be Thursday, June 22, at 6 p.m., and part 2 will be Thursday, June 29, at 6 p.m.

Both sessions are free of charge, and a light meal will be served. Registration is required by calling 970-392-9202.

In the middle stage of Alzheimer’s disease, those who were care partners become hands-on caregivers. In the class, caregivers and professionals will discuss helpful strategies to provide safe, effective and comfortable care in the middle stage of Alzheimer’s.
