Wheat planting decisions are focus of meetings

   Colorado State University will hold wheat planting decision meetings Aug. 14 and 18 to discuss results of the 2017 harvest and demonstrate how producers can utilize decision-making tools to make 2017-18 variety planting decisions.
    Dr. Jerry Johnson will present the 2017 “Making Better Decisions: Annual Wheat Variety Performance Trial” and discuss 2017 variety trial results. Rick Novak will also discuss wheat seed issues with producers.
    These meetings will be held Monday, Aug. 14, in Akron at 8 a.m. in the Event Center south room; in Limon at 11:30 a.m. at the Senior Center; in Burlington at 3 p.m. in the Community Center conference room; and in Lamar at 7:30 p.m. at the County Annex mezzanine.
