Wheat Field Day is June 12 in Phillips County

    Colorado State University has announced the 2018 Wheat Field Day schedule, with dates from Thursday, June 7, through Wednesday June 13. The Phillips County event is set for Tuesday, June 12, at Steve Boerner Farms starting at 1 p.m.
    Topics and speakers will include a wheat report by Dr. Jerry Johnson, CSU crops testing; new and released wheat varieties by Dr. Scott Haley, CSU wheat breeder; seed certification and plant variety protection by Rick Novak, CSU seed program director; and wheat association updates by Brad Erker, executive director of Colorado Wheat.
