Theron Roll gets perfect score, grand champion at state trap shooting

    As the only junior competitor to shoot a perfect score, Theron Roll won grand champion in trap shooting at the Colorado state 4-H shooting sports shotgun competition.
    Five Phillips County 4-H members competed in trap, skeet and sporting clays Sept. 1-2 at Pikes Peak Gun Club at Colorado Springs.
    Phillips County junior division results follow:
    — 16-yard trap, 125 competitors. Theron Roll, grand champion, round 1: 25 out of 25, round 2: 25/25, total: 50/50. Jack Bornhoft, 25th place, round 1: 21/25, round 2: 22/25, total: 43/50. Maclin Tempel, 29th place, round 1: 21/25, round 2: 22/25, total: 43/50.
