Rueter has 2 reserve grand champion turkeys at state fair

    Only a handful of youth from Phillips County 4-H clubs took their livestock to this year’s Colorado State Fair, but they brought home a number of honors. Making a particularly impressive showing was Isaiah Rueter who received recognition for several entries in market and breeding poultry.
    At the top of his achievements were reserve grand champion honors in both market and breeding turkey divisions. His market turkey also qualified for the junior livestock sale.
    Rueter also earned 1st, blue Swedish duck; 2nd, market hen turkey; 2nd, breeding tom turkey; 4th, showmanship; best of variety, Rhode Island red pullet; best medium class, drake.
