Riders, ropers, wranglers take reins at fair’s ranch rodeo

Wednesday night event draws crowd at Phillips County Fair

Cowboys, cowgirls and their teams showcased a variety of ranching skills at the ranch rodeo at Phillips County Fair on Wednesday evening, July 21.

Competitors from Phillips County and the surrounding area put on a great show for fans who were looking for exciting action in the fair’s opening days.

Participants awed the crowd with their prowess in such events as penning, doctoring, branding, bronc riding and stray gathering. Kids also got in on the fun with two sessions of mutton bustin’.
