Residents prepare open-class entries for fair
Generations collide at Carriage House, where visiting kids, staff and residents focus on painting flower pots to enter in the Phillips County Fair. Cloverbud Aubrey Bieber, pictured at left, and Muriel Corey team up to tackle their project together, their concentration palpable. The painting party was organized by the City of Holyoke recreation department to give residents of both Carriage House and Regent Park a chance to mingle with local youth and play a part in the open-class division at the fair this week. After the fair is over, the flower pots will be returned to the residents to brighten up their rooms.
