Phillips County 4-H well represented at state

    Phillips County was well represented at the annual Colorado state 4-H conference June 18-21 on the Colorado State University campus in Fort Collins.
    Phillips County 4-H members Janessa Lutze, Baylor Struckmeyer and Brooklyn Plumb, along with Sedgwick County 4-H member Kellum Carnahan, competed in the livestock quiz bowl and the livestock judging contests. The youth were accompanied by Phillips County 4-H agent Kindra Plumb.
    The foursome placed fifth overall as a team in livestock judging, and Brooklyn Plumb earned second place overall.
    In the livestock quiz bowl, the team didn’t place in the top five, but Carnahan placed fifth high individual in the written test category, and Plumb placed eighth.
