Laundromat, thrift store open for business
The former Holyoke Cleaners building at 105 S. Baxter Ave. in Holyoke received a big outside facelift almost two years ago.
Inside, more recent upgrades have occurred in the north side of the building as a laundromat and thrift store have been established.
In the northwest quadrant, Aydee Flores and her husband Jose Marquez have opened a laundromat. In the northeast quadrant (with entrance on the north), is their thrift store complete with clothes, kitchenware, home decor and much more.
Flores said that she loves to sew, and in part of her business area, she does alterations. She can be contacted at 970-466-0199 for further store information.
Flores has seen the need for laundromat service in the community and convinced her husband to make it happen. The coin-operated laundromat includes five washers and four dryers at this time.
