Lambertson, Cano awarded scholarships for health care transformation degree

Industry leaders are transforming health care, and two staff members from Melissa Memorial Hospital will be at the forefront of this work.

Elly Lambertson, operating room manager at MMH, and Jennifer Cano, MMH director of nursing, were awarded scholarships for the Master of Science in health care transformation degree at the University of Texas at Austin.

The program is run by the Value Institute for Health and Care, which is a joint venture between Dell Medical School and McCombs School of Business.

The one-year degree equips leaders across the health care sector with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to design and lead health care services that achieve better health and better value for individuals and families.

Delivered in a hybrid format, the program is designed to be completed while working full time. The curriculum provides practical strategies and solutions, many of which can be implemented immediately in the students’ own organizations.
