Klover Kare helps mental health through gardening

Jeremy Kilpatrick wants to use gardening to help promote better mental health, especially among veterans and first responders.

He has recently started a new venture in Klover Kare, which he is working toward making a nonprofit. It provides free guidance through the gardening process so people can have the type of garden that suits their needs.

He grew up in Akron and now lives in Sedgwick, and he said he loves the support and encouragement that community members show one another in northeast Colorado.

“We’re doing something right out here,” he said.

Kilpatrick is a veteran himself. He was in the Navy from 2011-2015 and worked as a logistics specialist. His job was to improve efficiency every day, and he has taken that drive with him to Klover Kare, asking himself how he can adjust things to make them better.
