Jedlicka new Peerless manager

As of July 1, Colleen Jedlicka assumed the role of general manager of Golden Plains Recreation Center/Peerless Theatre.

In addition to scheduling weekly movies and coordinating the theater’s concessions stand, Jedlicka is overseeing the center, which has office space, a basketball court, a dance studio, hangout rooms and more.

She’d like to see locals use the facility as much as possible. “The theater is for the community, so we want to be here to meet the community’s needs,” she said.

The Peerless is looking for additional concessionaires, which will move it toward its goal of bringing back Friday movies in addition to the Saturday and Sunday movies it currently offers.

Jedlicka said another idea for the future is to re-establish some summer recreational activities at the Peerless Center — an echo of what GPRC has done in the past.
