Grain, food, funds: CHS Harvest for Hunger offers 3 ways to give

Locals may remember Cajun boils and mouse races hosted by CHS Grainland in recent years. They raised money for the CHS Country Operations annual Harvest for Hunger campaign.
This year, the local offices are taking a different approach, but they still have a goal to help feed hungry people by supporting area food pantries. On Thursday, March 14, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. there will be a chili lunch at the agronomy office at Highway 23 and County Road 41. At the lunch, free-will donations will be accepted for Harvest for Hunger.
Additionally, donations can be made in collection boxes at CHS Grainland offices in Holyoke, Amherst, Haxtun, Fleming, Julesburg and Brule, Nebraska, through Wednesday, March 20. Donations can come in the form of food, money or grain. For all money and grain given, CHS Country Operations will make a bonus contribution, and the combined amount with be given to Food Bank of the Rockies. All food items donated will be given to local food pantries.
