FSA physical loss loans available

    In response to the Colorado acting state executive director’s request of May 1, Farm Service Agency’s physical loss loans are available in Kit Carson, Phillips and Yuma counties due to physical damage and losses caused by a blizzard and high winds April 13-14.
    Colorado primary counties include: Kit Carson, Logan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington and Yuma.
    Colorado contiguous counties include: Adams, Arapahoe, Cheyenne, Lincoln, Morgan and Weld.
    Kansas contiguous counties include: Cheyenne, Sherman and Wallace.
    Nebraska contiguous counties include: Chase, Cheyenne, Deuel, Dundy, Kimball and Perkins.
    Due to this designation, made effective May 9, emergency loans may be available to any applicant with a qualifying physical loss in the counties named. This approval is limited to applicants who suffered severe physical losses only, in accordance with the provisions of 7 CFR 759, Section 759.6(2).
