Food preservation workshop in Burlington

   Colorado State University Extension, Burlington Public Library and Burlington Community Garden are collaborative sponsors presenting a food preservation workshop Saturday, Sept. 30, from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2660 Senter Ave. in Burlington.
    This workshop offers a hands-on opportunity to learn the two major types of canning. Water bath canning is the best way to preserve tomatoes, fruits, jams, jellies and pickles. Pressure canning is the best way to preserve vegetables, legumes, meats, poultry and seafood.
