Farmers focus on harvest

Harvest of hard red winter wheat is in full swing in Phillips County, and farmers are liking the prices they’re seeing this year.
A drought in the Dakotas has hurt the spring wheat and helped drive up the price for the winter wheat here in Colorado. “The price is good,” said Steve Young of CHS Grainland. “It’s about $1.50 higher than last year.”
