Demolished building home to numerous businesses over years

Many businesses have been in the building that was, until recently, located at 136 W. Denver St.

It was demolished July 10, and the plan is to have Koch Chiropractic operate out of suite A of the new building once it’s constructed, and suites B and C will be designed for future commercial tenants.

According to records at the Phillips County assessor’s office, the building was constructed in 1905.

B.F. Moore owned the building in 1941. Theron and Ruth Starns owned it in 1944, and Ralph and Burl Lockwood became the owners in 1948.

Bill and Leona Mason took ownership of the building in 1964, but they had been operating one of the early businesses at that location, Bill’s Radio Sales, since April 1, 1947. The name of the business was changed to Bill’s Radio and TV in 1956 when televisions became more popular.
