Charro Panzón open, ready to serve up authentic Mexican food

    Holyoke’s Charro Panzón is now serving up authentic Mexican food at 430 E. Denver St., run by brothers Jorge and Junior Goytia, and Jorge’s wife, Johana Nevarez.
    It’s the first restaurant venture for the three, born out of a friendship with building owner Ramon Dominguez, but they said they’ve started out well-advised.
    “Even though we’re new, we have plenty of staff who are experienced,” Jorge said. “It’s been difficult, but also good.”
    Mini Arvizo, who stayed on staff through the restaurant’s change in ownership, is running the kitchen, joined by other holdover cooks. The three said they are also looking forward to lending a hand in the kitchen, in addition to their managerial and service roles.
