Annual antique engine, thresher show is next week in Kansas
The annual Tri-State Antique Engine & Threshers Association Show is on as planned in Bird City, Kansas, next week.
Despite COVID-19 cancelling a number of events this year, the 67th annual show in Bird City is on, according to organizers.
Dates for this year’s show are Thursday-Saturday, July 30-31 and Aug 1.
Daily events include corn grinding and shelling, saw mill demos, shingle-making, steam engine races, antique plowing, wheat harvesting, blacksmith demos, an antique quilt show, player piano concerts, antique vehicle parade, kids vs. steam tug-of-war, bingo and print shop demos.
There are several special events, as well, including a fun run, chuck wagon breakfast, tractor convoy, antique tractor and steam engine pulls, and a tractor rodeo.
There are several children’s events including a corn dig, stilts and a petting zoo.
