8 Phillips County 4-Hers attend Leadership Development Conference

Eight Phillips County 4-H members attended the Leadership Development Conference held Jan. 26-28 at the Denver Renaissance Hotel in Denver.
Upon arrival, members participated in get-to-know-you activities and ice-breaker games. The rest of the afternoon was spent in district and senate meetings and the opening session of the conference. That evening was the banquet, where members were able to hear remarks from this year’s International 4-H Youth Exchange representative, who visited Scotland, England, Wales and Norway this past fall.
Following the banquet, members had the opportunity to attend the dance or play a variety of games. Throughout the day Sunday, members were in breakout sessions, where each group focused on a particular time period in 4-H history. Each group was charged with putting a presentation together to reflect what happened in the 4-H organization during their pre-determined time period.
