Red Hubbard - April 14, 2013

Arny Robert “Red” Hubbard died April 14, 2013, in Sterling. He was born Jan. 1, 1947, in Sterling.

Red married Jackie Contryman Oct. 24, 1970, in Holyoke. He graduated from Padroni High School and served in the United States Army from 1968-1970. He was a member of the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association and the BPO Elks. While he loved to rodeo and team rope, his biggest loves were his family and friends.

Red was preceded in death by his mother, Norma (Tadolini) Asnicar; his father, Clyde Hubbard; and grandparents, Mary and Alfredo Tadolini and Belle and Allen Hubbard.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Hubbard of Merino; son, Arny R. Hubbard Jr. and friend Stephanie Feltz of Loveland; son, Leo Hubbard and wife Sherry of Merino; grandchildren, Taylor Hubbard and TJ Hubbard of Merino, Wyatt Hubbard of Greeley and Brianna Crabb of Milliken; stepdad, LR “Bob” Asnicar and wife Dorothy of Loveland; brother, Ron Hubbard and wife Sonia of Holyoke; sister, Tina Garland of Westminster; and sister, Merrilyn and husband Ben of Harold, Calif.

A viewing was scheduled for Wednesday, April 17 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m., with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m., in Sterling at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home.

A rosary service will be held Friday, April 19 at 10 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. in Brush at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will take place in Stoneham.
