Organ and tissue donation affords men and women a unique opportunity to help others. Although the laws vary depending on where a person lives, many persons age 18 or older can indicate their desire to be organ donors. Younger people must have a parent or guardian’s consent.
Physical condition will dictate if a person can donate, although people with a previous medical condition may still be suitable donors.
