A birthday celebration for Velma Biddle’s 100th birthday has been postponed.

Biddle will hit the century-mark Saturday, Aug. 8, and an open house in her honor was planned by family members.

Due to a second surgery on her arm, Biddle’s return to Holyoke has been delayed. A date for the postponed celebration has not been set.

Velma reportedly remains in good spirits.
