Jelden, Roll, Meakins named overall project grand champs PDF Print E-mail

Overall awards in three age divisions for general 4-H projects were awarded for the second time at this year’s Phillips County Fair.

Winners were Anna Jelden, overall senior; Tristen Roll, overall intermediate; and Erika Meakins, overall junior.

Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion efforts in food, booths, clothing, shooting sports and other general home ec/general 4-H projects were recognized at last week’s Fair.


Foods

Erika Meakins won GC foods with her unit 1 junior foods and nutrition project. RGC went to Josilyn Lutze with her unit 22 senior baking project.


Clothing construction

For the fourth straight year, Anna Jelden won GC honors in clothing construction with her unit 22 senior project. RGC honors went to Grace Dille with her unit 22 intermediate project.


Shooting sports

Tristen Roll was named GC in shooting sports with his intermediate shotgun project. RGC in this division was Alex Vieselmeyer with his intermediate archery entry.


Miscellaneous Grand Champions

GC honors for other 4-H projects were earned by Tanley Andersen, weeds and wildlife; Tristen Ferguson, robotics and veterinary science; Kylie Donovan, global citizenship and leadership; Elizabeth Hein, cake decorating; Emily Atkins, ceramics.

Austin Herman, electric; Isaac Strauss, gardening; Lauren Bergner, horseless horse; Kenton Bogan, leathercraft; Nicholas Ortner, model rocketry; Cole LeBlanc, photography; Kody Donnelson, sportfishing; and Christopher Ballard, visual arts.


Miscellaneous Reserve Grand Champions

RGC awards for other 4-H projects went to Fallon Bamford, cake decorating; Lauren Herman, ceramics; and Landon Bogan, leathercraft.


Booths

Better Beef Makers 4-H Club decorated the GC booth, while Paoli Hustlers had the RGC.
