|School to interview board candidates|

Holyoke School District Re-1J Board of Education will meet Tuesday, Aug. 5, at 7 p.m. for a work session, followed by the 8 p.m. regular meeting in the board meeting room at HJHS Room No. 218.
The work session will be for the purpose of interviewing the candidates for the board vacancy, which was created with the resignation of Kim Killin when she was appointed Phillips County judge.
Superintendent’s report items on the meeting agenda include back-to-school update, refinancing Series 2005 bonds and its impact on the November 2014 ballot question, construction report, innovation zone application and quarterly financial report.
Public comment pertaining to the mill levy override discussion will be encouraged at the Aug. 5 and Aug. 19 board meetings, with the board planning to make a final decision for the ballot question at the Sept. 2 meeting. Starting Aug. 19, board meeting start-times for the school year change to 7 p.m.
