Holyoke Swim Club dominated the medley relay competition with three new records at the Colby, Kan., swim meet Saturday, June 21.
The 9-10 mixed 100 m medley relay team, comprised of swimmers Evan Jones, Elise Krogmeier, Kristin Vieselmeyer and Lauren Herman, completed the event in 1:34.38.
The record was previously held by Holyoke swimmers Emily Jelden, Seth Watson, Lali Marquez and Morganne Kumm. Holyoke set the record in 2012 with a time of 1:36.50.
Holyoke also broke the 11-12 girls’ 200 m medley relay record set by Colby last year. Marquez, Rylee Schneller, Emily Jelden and Kumm finished with a time of 2:52.40 to beat the previous record time of 2:54.60.
13-14 mixed 200 m medley relay swimmers Keegan Shaw, Regan Van Overbeke, Drew Stewart and Anna Jelden raced to a record time of 2:40.94, beating last year’s time of 2:51.70 set by Burlington.
