|Written by Holyoke Enterprise|
Prairie Winds Art Center is hosting an exhibit of the work of Haxtun artist Lesley Harms during the month of June. The gallery will host an artist reception Thursday evening, June 26, at 7 p.m.
Harms moved to the United States from Australia in 1983. She came from South West Rocks in New South Wales.
Her painting style is tribal Aboriginal. Aboriginal art has survived for thousands of years and continues to be one of the oldest art forms practiced today. It consists of symbols that are used as a means of communication.
