PIE Carnival set for Fri., April 11 at Event Center PDF Print E-mail
Written by Holyoke Enterprise

For the first time in five years, the Partners in Education Carnival for Classrooms will be held at the Phillips County Event Center Friday, April 11. Lasting from 5-9 p.m., the carnival will encompass many new fun activities for those in attendance.

According to carnival coordinator Joy Kinnie, the move away from the usual site at Holyoke Elementary School was necessary to try to bring in more members of the community who may have viewed the event as strictly an elementary school event in the past.

It just wouldn’t be a PIE Carnival without the opportunity to peg a teacher in the face with a pie. The nine Holyoke faculty members who have volunteered to be on the receiving end of the flying pies are Dusty McConnell, Kristie Pelle, Miko Martinez, Kari Sandquist, Yesenia Bencomo, Andrea Kammer, Bret Miles, Allie Balog and Nic Balog.
