|Pipeline delivers water to river|
|Written by Deb Daniel, RRWCD general manager|
The Compact Compliance Pipeline started delivering water to the North Fork of the Republican River Friday, Jan. 17.
The Board of Directors of the Republican River Water Conservation District voted to start operating the pipeline after the State of Colorado received approval from Kansas for 100 percent credit for the water delivered by the pipeline for 2014.
Colorado and Kansas continue to negotiate the permanent approval of the pipeline proposal.
The CCP is scheduled to deliver approximately 4,000 acre-feet of water prior to April 1 in an effort to be in compliance with the compact.
