Ardie’s 9News feature to air Feb. 7-8
Ardie Besse’s 9News interview with Kevin Torres will be featured on the Storytellers segment on KUSA Channel 9 at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, and 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8. The program will also air at 9 p.m. Friday on Channel 20, KTVD.
It was postponed from Jan. 31-Feb. 1 due to the up-to-date weather stories.
More business moves noted
Two businesses swapped places last week when Veronica Marroquin purchased the former Ardie’s Beauty Barr building at 235 S. Campbell. Veronica’s Hair & Nail Salon opened Monday morning, Feb. 3 in its new home, relocating from 145 E. Denver.
In the meantime, Ron Koch moved his shop, “Ron’s,” from the front of Ardie’s building to 145 E. Denver St.
Marroquin worked at Ardie’s for four years and went on her own nine years ago. In addition to herself, operators at her new location are Debby Banaka, Jane Zink, Annie Stephens, Megan Gerk, Jennifer Young (facials) and Andrea Hershfeldt (massages).
Marroquin said eventually she plans to remodel to open up the front of the shop and to sell retail product there. She also plans to have a tanning bed and offer spray-on tanning in the future.
In the back of Veronica’s, the east end, Josie Murray will be opening a new business called “So Loving It.” It will feature party supplies and items for special occasions.
