|Swimming is full sport at HHS|
|Written by Brenda Johnson Brandt|
Moving into its first year as a fully-sanctioned sport from its club sport status, HHS girls’ swimming season is under way.
Fourteen team members are led by coaches Adria Colver and Aly (Colver) Brinkema.
Coach Colver said it will be fun to see how the team and season develop.
For the 2013-14 season, Colver said they were hoping to go to an independent league, but it was full. The team will be swimming in a league, they’re just not sure which one at this point.

By next year, for the 2014-15 season, Colver anticipates HHS will be swimming in the Tri-Valley league with schools such as Northridge, Valley, Eaton and Windsor.
Returning letterwinners for the 2013-14 team include seniors Ashley Humphreys and Malena McWilliams, junior Jayden Durbin of Haxtun and sophomores Dani Brandt and Lori McWilliams.
Other team members are juniors Kaetlynne Overton and Maddie Amann; sophomores Jaylene Dominguez and Kaylee Michael of Haxtun; and freshmen Emily Krogmeier, Megan Humphreys, Michalla Drake, Jordyn Turney of Haxtun and Madison Beckner of Wray.
