“Mr. Miles is considered to be a strong leader in all five domains,” said the 2012-13 summary evaluation for Holyoke School Superintendent Bret Miles.
Board president Jeff Tharp praised Miles’ work at the Nov. 5 school board meeting and noted a copy of his evaluation is available at the administration office.
The five domains of evaluation include instructional leadership, leadership/personnel management, budget development/management, facilities management and community outreach.
Comments on the evaluation summary noted that Miles’ evaluation reflected three areas which were particularly noteworthy during the 2012-13 school year:
1. Leadership at the regional and local levels in development and implementation of curriculum and new teacher evaluation instrument.
2. Continued management of district budget.
3. Improved facility conditions due to work on construction upgrades, new track and personnel management.
