Students search for perfect match at college fair PDF Print E-mail

Whether just starting the process or getting plans narrowed down, Holyoke High School sophomores, juniors and seniors explored 37 different colleges and universities at the annual College Day Wednesday, Oct. 30.

HHS hosted the college fair put on by Colorado Council, with representatives traveling all over the state for around two months to meet prospective students and give out information.

It’s a good time to see all the reps at the same time in the same place, said HHS counselor Summer Maloney.

HHS old gym was a buzz Wednesday morning as students asked questions, gathered booklets and interacted with representatives.

“They go in with a purpose,” said Maloney, noting students had been prepping in their daily Individual Career and Academic Planning classes. ICAP teachers went over the questions to ask about things like meal plans, dorms and financial aid.
