|NCHD reschedules OWTS stakeholder meeting|

The Northeast Colorado Health Department has rescheduled their On-site Wastewater Treatment System stakeholder meeting to Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 1-4 p.m. at their Sterling office located at 700 Columbine St.
The meeting, which was originally set for Sept. 30, was postponed as NCHD staff dealt with lingering issues after the flooding in Logan County last month. The meeting is open to the public and OWTS contractors, as well as anyone living with a septic system that has concerns about the new regulations, is encouraged to attend. Lunch will be provided and reservations are requested.
According to Carmen Vandenbark, NCHD’s environmental health administrator, this meeting will address the changes made this past May to the new OWTS (also known as septic systems) regulations from the state, the new requirements in the regulations and areas within the new regulations where the counties within NCHD’s jurisdiction can choose to opt-in or out.
