In a fine week for Holyoke softball, the Dragons pulled off three big four-inning wins and lost one game in seven innings as they took on Akron and Limon on the Dragon field.

That boosts the Dragon record to 6-9 on the season.

Tuesday, Sept. 24, Holyoke earned a 14-3 win over Akron before falling to the visiting Rams 13-18.

Saturday, Sept. 28, the Dragons pounded Limon 20-4 in three and a half innings, then defeated the Badgers again 17-5 in a four-inning ballgame.

Coach Ashley Clayton said it was nice for the seniors to win their last two games at home.

“It always seems that four years goes by before you know it,” said Clayton. She added that they’re very proud of seniors Keeya Marquez and Alyssa Killin as they’ve risen to the occasion in serving as senior leaders.
