“With the war on rural Colorado escalating, it is important that we have a strong, experienced voice in Denver,” commented Rep. Jerry Sonnenberg (R-Sterling).
Recognizing the need for ag representation in the Colorado legislature, Sonnenberg has announced his bid to be the next Senator from District 1, which includes over 21,000 square miles in 11 counties on the eastern plains of Colorado.
“The two largest industries that drive our economy in this state are oil and gas, followed by agriculture. Both are rooted in rural areas of the state, and our urban cousins need to know how their actions can hurt our way of life,” Sonnenberg added.
