Tips for growing the best tomato
Well, it is almost time to start harvesting the tomatoes you have painstakingly grown this season. How are they looking? Do you have the numbers you want? Have you had any problems with the plants? If you were not pleased, here is a list of tips to follow whether you start your tomatoes from seed or purchase plants.
Before you even purchase seed or plants, think about the diseases that occur in your area and then decide on varieties most resistant to those diseases. It takes three to five weeks to grow an ideal transplant. Ideally, your tomatoes should be 8-10 inches tall with a dark, stocky stem and a well-developed, healthy root system.
