Dirty play encouraged at mud volleyball PDF Print E-mail

Mud volleyball made its first appearance at the Phillips County Fair Friday, July 26. One of the more popular events of the week, nine teams of four-five players gave their all on the challenging mud court.

Taking the top place in the tournament was the Unicorns, who posted a 5-0 record on the day. Team members included Rece Coffin, Sabra Kipp, MegAnn Hadeen, Jennifer Wisdom and Taylor Andersen.

Earning runner-up honors was Sets on the Beach, who went 3-2 in the tournament. Team members included Peyton Dittmer, Adi Bencomo, Brook Prottsman, Megan Humphreys and Kayla Marshal.

Because of the popularity of the event, fair personnel have already discussed moving the tournament to the weekend next year, allowing more people to participate.
