A very chilly July morning didn’t keep the crowds away from the Phillips County Fair parade Saturday, July 27. Creativity was soaring as floats followed the fair theme, “There’s Country in the Air at the Phillips County Fair.”
Better Beef Makers 4-H Club was up, up and away with grand champion honors in their colorful hot air balloon float in the youth maxi division.

Dragon’s Wagon Preschool was first place in the civic group division, with students and staff blowing bubbles down the parade route on Interocean Avenue.
First place in the business category was earned by PC Telcom with the “sweet smells” of their blue ribbon baked goods. Abts Pharmacy took second place.
In the miscellaneous entries, Phillips County commissioners won first place for their country-themed float. Gary Kumm earned second and Allie & Boone third.
