Cody Fricke, a 2011 HHS grad, is on the Adams State University Vice President Honor Roll for the spring 2013 semester. He earned at least a 3.5 GPA and carried a 12 credit hour load to qualify for the honor roll.
Fricke is eligible for a merit-based scholarship. The automatic scholarships are renewable for up to three years to full-time students, and those who maintain at least a 3.25 are eligible for a $500/year scholarship, 3.5 a $1,000/year scholarship and a 3.9 or above a $1,500/year scholarship.
He is the son of Glen Fricke and Tammy and Corey Zeiler of Holyoke.
Marissa Smith, a 2010 HHS grad, has been named to the Colorado State University Dean’s Academic List for the spring semester 2013 with a 4.0 GPA. The list includes students in the College of Applied Human Sciences who have completed at least 12 credit and earned a minimum 3.90 GPA.
The daughter of Dave and Rhonda Smith of Holyoke, Marissa is entering her senior year this fall, majoring in health and exercise science with a concentration in health promotion and a minor in business administration. She is also a varsity track and field athlete at CSU.
Mallory Bennett, a 2011 HHS grad, was named to the Dean’s List at University of Denver for the 2012-13 academic year. Bennett is also a Hornbeck Scholar, an honor from the Daniels College of Business recognizing students who earned a 4.0 GPA while taking at least 15 credit hours.
Bennett, daughter of Mike and Susan Bennett of Holyoke, recently went to Australia where she will spend a semester studying abroad. While in Australia, she will also be completing an accounting internship she was selected for.
