Pamela Shaddock, regional director for U.S. Sen. Mark Udall, joined members of Holyoke’s City Council Thursday, July 11 at KarDale’s to present a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition to the City of Holyoke in celebration of 125 years of pride and progress on behalf of Udall. Those who attended the presentation are pictured from left, Brian Akey, Mayor Orville Tonsing, Steve Moore, Pamela Shaddock, Holyoke Police Chief Doug Bergstrom, City Clerk/Treasurer Kathy Olofson and City Superintendent Mark Brown.
After the presentation, Shaddock asked city personnel their thoughts on the current state of government. Concerns about the farm bill, gun safety laws and other rural issues were discussed.
