BST Promotions announces its 2013 Independence Day Challenge Cup Tour with NAS-CAR star Kenny Schrader fresh off of his ARCA victory, starting at Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke Thursday, July 4.
In addition to Schrader and the rest of the PCR show, the 4th of July highlights in Holyoke include a huge fireworks display.
The green flag will drop at 5 p.m. sharp at PCR. At the conclusion of the races, the crowd as well as the Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department will move to Holyoke City Park. The VFD will shoot off the fireworks in the field south of the park.
BST promoter Joe Bellm anticipates the fireworks won’t start until around 9:30 p.m. Races are starting earlier than usual that night in an attempt to finish in good time for the fireworks show.
S&W Auto Supply (NAPA) in Holyoke is teaming up with BST Promotions to bring Schrader to Holyoke. Schrader will hopefully be on hand to give autographs and shake hands at S&W Auto Supply, located at 310 E. Denver St., on the 4th of July from 12-1 p.m.
If he’s not yet available at that time, a later meet and greet will be scheduled. Schrader will also be available for photo sessions and to sign autographs at intermission of the races.
With the BST dirt cars and late models on tap along with the BST/IMCA mods and stocks, as well as hobbies and dwarfs, the 4th of July races will be non-stop racing action from start to finish.
NASCAR, ARCA, USAC veteran Schrader will be racing with the BST boys and girls all weekend long, showing their talent against one of the most multi-talented drivers the Midwest has ever seen.
On Friday, July 5, the tour will head to the El Paso County Speedway in Calhan before making its final stop in Fort Morgan at the I-76 Speedway Saturday, July 6.
