PCR welcomes midget racing PDF Print E-mail

Four-time and defending RMMRA Driver Champion Keith Rauch and the Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Association will open up their 2013 race season at Phillips County Raceway Saturday, May 25.

The RMMRA has been a fan-favorite for years at is the oldest sanctioning body around. Additionally, the RMMRA has two other races scheduled this year at PCR.

Other RMMRA champion drivers that will compete are four-time RMMRA driver champion Tony Rossi and two-time RMMRA driver champion Chris Sheil.

The second midget race at Phillips County Raceway will be during the Phillips County Fair Saturday, July 27.

“What’s more fun than good old fashion midget racing at the county fair?” said Bill Harper, RMMRA president.

“The new schedule (every other Saturday) is a welcome change that we hope will allow for more of our longtime supporters to attend PCR races.”

The last PCR appearance of 2013 for the RMMRA midgets will be Saturday, Aug. 24.

This season, the RMMRA is planning to give away prizes to fans who can answer midget racing trivia questions asked by the track announcer during events.
