Students in Holyoke High School and Junior High were recognized Monday, May 6 for their hard work and dedication in the classroom. National Honor Society members hosted and conducted the ceremony in the auditorium at HHS.

NHS president Erin Vieselmeyer welcomed those in attendance, and chapter members gave brief bios of each teacher to introduce the staff and begin the program.

Citizenship awards were presented to eighth-graders Emily Krogmeier and Austin Herman by Connley Hale of American Legion Post #90.

Marcia Dalton presented a National Choral Award to senior Ben Martinez.

Kristie Ham announced that senior Caitlyn Kramer competed in a statewide stock market game and her essay won first place. She will be honored for that award in Boulder in the near future.
