If you are bothered by cats getting in your buildings, I have a sure cure. If you spread a few mothballs around where they enter, they will not enter.

It doesn’t hurt the cat, who may be someone’s pet looking for a mouse. Saves problems for overworked police and veterinarians. Plus, it’s a cheap answer.
