|Swimmers setting new personal bests|

HHS swim team members have been performing well, improving personal best records at every turn.
The local girls swam in the Windsor Holiday Meet Saturday, Dec. 22 and competed in the Keith Wiedeman Invitational in Greeley.
The local girls competed in a dual at Eaton Tuesday, Jan. 8 and will travel to the Valor Invite at the Mines Rec. Center Saturday, Jan. 12.
Coach Luke Thomas noted highlights from the last two meets.
At Windsor, the meet consisted of eight teams, both 4A and 5A. Dani Brandt set two new personal records in addition to placing and earning points in each of her four events. Lori McWilliams placed and earned points in each of her four events.
Jayden Durbin placed and earned points in each of her four events and set one personal record. LaKyla Moore placed and earned points in three events. Malena McWilliams set two new personal records.
Fourteen schools competed at the meet in Greeley last Saturday, with about half of them being 5A schools.
“We showed that though we are a small team, we are still a mighty team,” said coach Thomas. “Our girls swam really hard after the winter break and gained the competitive edge back for our upcoming meets.”
Brandt, Lori McWilliams, Durbin and Moore set a new best for their 200 freestyle relay.
Additionally, the following swimmers set new personal records on Saturday: Meg Strauss, Brittney Prottsman, Jentry Andersen, Katlin Davis and Malena McWilliams.
