|Bombers season opens Friday at Gering, Neb.|

American Legion Post #217 Buckley Bombers baseball team, based in Chappell, Neb., will open its 2009 season at the Platte Valley Companies Classic in Gering, Neb. on Friday, May 29 at the Gering Oregon Trail Park.
Bombers action kicks off at 5:30 p.m. against Chadron, Neb. They then play Gering at 8 p.m.
On Sunday, May 31, the teams will take on North Platte, Neb. at 12:30 p.m. Another match-up with Thompson Valley (Loveland) will take place at 5:30 p.m.
As of opening day, the Junior Bombers have 14 players on the roster and the Seniors have nine players. Junior team members include Austin Killin and Brent Vasa of Holyoke. Logan Krueger and Austin Tharp will join head coach Marcus Kammer, all of Holyoke, on the Senior Bombers team.
