As school resumes within the Holyoke School District, local athletes are preparing to get back to work.

Basketball players, wrestlers and swimmers will soon be back in the realm of competition.

High school basketball teams will play host to Chase County, Friday, Jan. 4 with games beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, Shining Mountain will come to town with games scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

The Dragons will load the bus and travel to Wiggins Tuesday, Jan. 8 for games beginning at 4 p.m.

Wrestlers will hit the mat Saturday, Jan. 5 in Fort Collins for a varsity invite scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Junior varsity wrestlers will see action Tuesday, Jan. 8 when they travel to Grant, Neb. for a 3 p.m. tournament.

Holyoke swimmers won’t dive back into the pool until Thursday, Jan. 10 when they travel to Estes Park.
